Aspen Receives FAA Approval for Free Synthetic Vision Trial

Ten free hours of in-flight synthetic vision begins this month with Aspen Evolution EFD1000 Primary Flight Display (PFD) purchase

Aspen they have received FAA approval to begin offering a free 10-inflight hour trial of Aspen’s Evolution Synthetic Vision (ESV). All new Aspen EFD1000 Pro PFDs shipped will receive the free ESV trial with their display. The free trial is not applicable to the C3 PFD or VFR PFD.

Reference Technical Note 2014-01 on Aspen’s Dealer Ramp for the details of the unlock procedure/requirements.

When ESV flight hours exceed 10 hours of usage, the next time the unit is powered on the trial will self-disable. The ESV trial will not disable at the 10-hour mark should that occur in-flight.
