AOPA: Alan Klapmeier says GenAv NOT a "public menace"

Alan Klapmeier, co-founder and CEO of Kestrel Aircraft, objects to an Atlantic article that described general aviation as a “public menace.” Klapmeier writes that the author of the article emphasized private aviation as an attempt to “play class warfare to get the reader emotionally ready for the ‘menace’ that is general aviation.” Klapmeier also writes that a “one size fits all” approach for security screening for general aviation would be impractical.
