Garmin issues Aviation Support Memo announcing limited repair of MX20

According to Garmin:
“Effective immediately, repairs for MX20 units with display-related faults will be available on an exceptionally limited basis. Repairs will be provided on a first come, first serve basis for all versions of the MX20 and the L-3 Avionics Systems i-linc. Please contact Garmin AT at 1-800-525-6726 or 503-391-3411 to ensure that displays are available and for an RMA number prior to returning units for maintenance. As of December 31, 2011, all repairs for the MX20 will be discontinued.

We would also like to remind you that the trade-in program for the MX20 is still available for your customers through June 30, 2011. The program provides a substantial trade-in allowance for MX20s in normal condition.  For more details refer to the marketing memo of November 2, 2010.”
