The AvMap EKP IV  
is a portable navigation systems for the aeronautical market. EKP features a 7″ color LCD display, brilliant and sunlight-viewable, batteries sold separately. Thanks to the new menu keys that strategically positioned along the sides of the case, the unit can operate in Portrait and Landscape mode. You can customize the layout choosing to view the full map or split HSI screen with data fields. EKP IV utilizes a 512 MB Compact Flash memory card (CF) preloaded with software and maps. The cartography includes the Jeppesen data (for Europe + Africa; Americas; Asia + Australia depending on the version, Low Airways (a.k.a. Victor Airways), and private airports for North America. The five existing types of airways have been added to the SELECTIVE DISPLAY: Airline Airway, Control Airway, Direct Route Airway, Official Designated Airway, RNAV Airway. A color coded map shows info on the terrain altitude (land elevation), and the TAWS shows the separation existing between the terrain and the airplane. With the Safe Route Predictor you can get a preview of the TAWS messages along your route. With the new Crossed Airspace Predictor function, you can get a preview of the airspaces that you will cross along your flight, while the Crossed Airspace Advisor provides warnings durino the flight on airspaces being crossed…contact us for more information and pricing
